Within a Dead City Released
So I've got this video game podcast going where my buddies and I do deep dives on video games. We did it for a couple of years before we started recording our discussions, so our discussion of Majesty (from Cyberlore Studios) was not preserved for future generations. Alas. Still, I do remember loving the game and wanting to make my own homage to the classic.
Four or five years later, I'm helping to launch this awesome project called Tiny Mass Games. We've all taken some inspiration from Sokpop and are trying our hand at creating short games in short time frames rather then spending years polishing a long-form game. Lookin' at you, Moondrop. With our inaugural cycle, I decided to finally build that Majesty-like.
Two months of intensive prototyping, designing, and playtesting later, and I humbly present to you Within a Dead City. Like Majesty, you'll manage a motley crew of heroes. You'll see them at their humble beginnings and watch them as they grow from cannon fodder to champion. Of course, that's if you can keep them alive long enough. They are greedy little guys, and they often bite off more than they can chew. Hope you enjoy it!
